What do you do with neighbors who

refuse to take your homemade Christmas treats delivered to their door in the holiday spirit by your cute and guile-less eight year old daughter?

At least they didn't scream at her but merely sent her packing with a curt, "No thanks, we don't need any."

It's surprising how much it smarts to be disliked so vehemently.

Wow!!! That is so low. I am so sorry. I would advice you to dedicate yourself to hate them forever, but thats not in the Christmas spirit either! :)

I have never heard of a neighbor doing that before! Even if they didn't eat them, they still could've accepted them in the spirit that they were given. I guess you'll have one less house to visit next year. Bah Humbug to your neighbors!

Finally know that they are evil and cannot be helped. You guys have given it a good try, but let's face it they are evil. But at least they didn't yell! Lily is a VERY GOOD girl for trying. I would have been too scared to try!

Smash the cookies on their doorstep! Haha just kiddin. That's way sad. It's disturbing to come across people like that. Makes all the nice people in the world seem so much nicer and more appreciated! Merry Christmas!

Seriously?! Bad form.

That was in such poor taste on their part. I am often embarrassed at the childish behavior of some adults. Even my five year old knows (usually!) to accept a gift with a smile and a thank you, no matter what the gift is. Giving is as much about the giver as it is about the receiver. Surprise, next-door neighbors!

I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. Your family is wonderful and sweet and I'm sorry you were treated so hurtfully. Your kids will definitely learn from this though; every Sanchez I know is too generous hearted to let a couple of Scrooges stop them from being....well, generous.

I love you guys and have always looked up to how kind and open-hearted you are. You amaze me.

What?? I can't believe they didn't take the treats! It's one thing to be rude to an adult (though still unacceptable)...but to a cute little child? Are they always like that, or is this behavior part of their special holiday charm? =)

Perhaps they think your cookies are a little . . . how can I say this delicately . . . suspect?

Paul, you kill me! Lots of things I make would probably be suspect to most Americans, but cross my heart, these cookies were legit. Full of sugar and everything.
